Gold scales and weights from the Gabriel's Gully rush, in 1861, that laid the financial foundation of Otago. This set belonged to William Sutherland one of many South Otago workers who downed tools to go to the diggings.

Hi,

I have a similar scale with nested weights and would like more information on the nested weights. Such as how many weights are there in the nested weight set and what is the weight of the largest one? What are their markings and can you send more pictures of the scale and the weights? Are the weights in onces?
