About this object

Morse key accessory for use with Wireless Set No 48. They were used by Rex Wood of Hunter Street. This assembly has canvas straps designed to be attached to the legs for easy use. Rex Wood's name is written on these straps.
Wireless Set No 48 was a manpack transmitter (worn on back) used in about 1942 for short range communication. Manufactured in USA during WW2 with a range up to 10 miles.
