William and Mary Ross
About this object
William Ross known as Willie b 1864 d 1932 and Mary Ross, nee Sturch, known as May b 1874 d 1932. They lived at Kaiwaka and had one son, Stanley Alexander Ross. They also fostered another boy from age 7-8, Charles Edward Sutherland who died in 1916 during active duty in WW1. The property was sold during the 1920s.
This photograph is part of a large collection donated by Bev Ross which include photographs, documents, books, research material and letters covering many families who were settlers in Mangawhai and surrounding districts.
