Correspondence that District Constable Thomas Sturch, of Mangawai, wrote to his Superior Officer who was based at Russell, Bay of Islands.
The documents also include reports covering the dates from 1875 to 1890.
Thomas Sturch was the Constable at Mangawai from 1867 to 1892.
He arrived in New Zealand with his parents John and Mary Sturch, nee Harris, on the 'Evening Star' in 1858.
These items are part of a large collection dated by Bev Ross which include photographs, documents, books, research material and letters covering many families that were settlers in Mangawhai and surrounding districts.
