About this objectMancur balance; a wrought iron mancur scale with a crescent-shaped brass dial, calibrated on both sides. These scales were used to weigh wool in sacks, after shearing the sheep. The small hook and suspension ring are used to weigh from 2lb up to 42lb in 2lb divisions and the larger hook and ring would weigh from 10lb to 260lb in 10lb divisions.
