Oil painting; a large painting in oil on canvas, depicting the sailing ship 'Neotsfield' in full sail. Painted in the early 20th century by C H Hayward (1864-1912), son of Captain Hayward, who was brought up at the Catlins Head pilot station.
The 'Neotsfield' was involved in trading wool between Australia, England and Europe.
