About this object

Coal bucket; a large metal bucket, welded at the seams, and with one flat edge. Wide, metal bail handle. A brass maker's plate on the side reads: "J Anderson & Co Ltd, Moray Place, Dunedin".

This bucket was used at the Owaka Valley Cheese Factory, owned and operated by Mr Colin McDonald. The factory closed down in 1924.
