Inkstand
About this object
Inkstand; hand-made circa 1930 at Purakauiti School. The stand is constructed of overlapping pieces of supple-jack wired together at the corners.
A rectangular wooden base supports the inkstand's three square compartments and a full-length, narrow tray along the front. Two of the compartments have been lined with red fabric, gathered along the top edge and stitched to the supple-jack.
