About this object
Handkerchief box; an octagonal box hand-made from strips of supple-jack wired together. The interior is lined with cream fabric, gathered along the top edge.
A removable lid of stained wood is hand-painted with the word: "Handkerchiefs" and a spray of forget-me-nots.
Possibly made circa 1930 by a student of Purakauiti School.
