Photograph; a black and white photograph of Mr Andrew Richardson's blacksmith shop, built about 1890 in Owaka. Standing in front of the building is Mr A Richardson Jnr, Mr Andrew Richardson Snr, Frank Ayson (on horse), Hugh Ayson and an unidentified man.

Owaka had two blacksmith's at that time, Mr Richardson's and Mr George Ford.
