Photograph [Bob Reay]

About this object

Photograph; a black and white image of Bob Reay (1869-1957). He is pictured from the shoulders up in a dark jacket and tie, with flowers pinned to his lapel.

Bob Reay was the son of Mr and Mrs Reay who were on the farm now (1979) occupied by the Gall Brothers. The whole family moved to the North Island in the early 1890s and sold out to Mr W Stoddart. The first township was a part of their farm. Bob lived to 88 years of age, losing his sight in the latter part of his life.

The original photograph has been digitised. A digital image and copy print are available for research access.
