Bell, bullock; [?]; [?]; CT78.749

Name/Title

Bell, bullock

About this object

Metal bullock bell
The original catalogue entry, recorded in 1978 states:
"This was strapped around the bullock's neck so that the owner would hear the bell ringing and find the animal, as there were very few fences and the area covered with bush, without the bell it would have been an arduous task".

One face of the bell bears three small indentations, could they be bullet holes?
