About this object

White cotton petticoat with six gathered flounces attached to outside increasing in size slightly to the base. Bottom two flounces are edged with broderie anglaise. Machine stitched. Narrow waistband (for corseted waist) fastened by a mother of pearl button at centre back. Darts in front. At seam at bottom flounce inside is incorporated a metal stay to keep skirt base more rigid circular shape.
