About this object

High waist nightgown in rough silk, with all-in-one top and short sleeves. Front is open to skirt and has pink embroidery floral designs also on sleeves. Sleeve edges are trimmed with machine made lace and the same lace is used at waist for a drawstring, and has threaded pink ribbon. Skirt is slightly gathered and plain except for tab stitched down centre front, c.1940.
