Wool embroidery sampler

About this object

White piece of rectangular cotton solidly stitched with wool threads so ground fabric unseen on front. Front design in three rectangular panels each with three separate panels within each. Coloured in burgundy, pink, green, yellow, red, white, purple, blue in bright hues. Two pieces of brown string tied to one end for hanging. Worked by Mr Nelson Cartwright (Snr) in 1915 at Omaru in Ararua.
