About this object

White cotton baby gown. Long sleeves, round neck with lace trim. Tape drawstring tie at centre back placket also fastened by a button at back yoke-skirt which is missing. Yoke is plain at back and at front has two rows of machine lace either side of to rows of tucks running horizontally across yoke. At yoke skirt seam in front, two rows of machine lace flounces, skirt is gathered onto yoke. Waist ties (99cm long each) attached below front yoke by two horizontal strips of machine lace, they are also trimmed at pointed end with same lace. Sleeves have turn up cuffs and lace trim. Six rows of tucks run horizontally around skirt above hem which is plain. Machine sewn
