About this objectWhite cotton baby gown, lace insert in yoke, vertical back to front over shoulders meeting on the waistband, where a piece of the same lace is sewn over top of the fabric horizontally, another vertical inset piece is place centre front, either side are 3 pin tucks, all up pattern forms a symmetrical square. Neck is trimmed with crocheted lace, sleeves are folded back and trimmed with the same lace as inset and as at the neck. Hem is plain, back placket once had a button fastening, as only buttonhole remains. Baby gown belonged to Max William James Beamish, born in 24.10.1925.
