About this object

Striped white Swiss cotton baby gown with self patterned fabric of alternate woven stripes with reef woven flowers and horizontal open work stripes. Lace around neck and cuffs of long narrow sleeves. A piece of broderie anglaise insertion is machined across the front holding self ties at either end. The back placket is fastened with tape drawstring at neck. Small hand stitched vertical tucks run from neck to waist. Plain hem and seams.
