About this object

White cotton gown. Round neck bodice with trimmed panels of embroidery and gold silk feather stitch, plain cotton panel in middle is gathered at neck and waist. Long sleeves decorated at wrists with hand pin tucking, and cutwork embroidery lace. Neck trimmed with embroidered lace. Very full skirt is gathered on to waistband. Back placket has ties at waist and neck. Hem has three rows of pin tucks, then attached to the hem is the same lace as at the wrists and front panel. French seams.
