A piece of gum typical of the quality of gum in the collection at The Kauri Museum. Most pieces were dug by gumdiggers and kept aside as they were too good to sell, then the diggers scraped and polished the pieces and often carved them into models andf made jewellery. The Kauri Museum collection is the largest in the world.
