He served with the 9th Reinforcements New Zealand Rifle Brigade, 2nd Battalion, F Company in Egypt then the Auckland Infantry Regiment in Western Europe. 2. Photograph of his grave stone at Dartmoor Cemetery, Becordel-Becourt, Somme, France.
