About this objectCopy of a record of 29766 Sgt. Ronald King who served with the 18th L.A.D. during WW2. Ronald was captured by Rommel at Mersa Matruh in the Western Desert. As a POW he was moved from Italy to Austria then Germany staying at camps, Grippihama 57(Italy), Stalag 137 (Austria), Stalag 8A (Gorlitz) then was sent 396km on a forced march to Duderstadt in 1945. They were freed by US troops on the 9th April 1945.
