About this object

N.Z. military issue jacket from WW2. Worn by Max Wallis after the war when repatriated to England after being a POW for two years in Germany. He was captured in Italy at Orsogna. Green wool jacket with two breast box pleat pockets long sleeves with cuffs, plain collar, fastened down centre front with a hidden row of buttons and a joined belt to waistband. Epaulettes at shoulders. Felt badges on arms, 'New Zealand' in black with white writing on shoulder, with a red triangle below. At cuffs are two sets of two arrows in red.
