About this object

Small corset made from a heavy twill cotton or a canvas. White colour, all machine stitched and made from panels of heavily stitched cotton and a mesh like woven fabric in-between. Laces tighten up back with thirteen metal eyelets and the lace have metal tips at ends. Five large metal hooks in front to close. This corset is boned with a straight front and at sides. Broderie anglaise lace decorates the top edge. Front bottom hem has two suspenders with elastic and metal clasps at ends. 'Fenwick' is printed in ink on top inside front.
