White lawn Christening gown worn by members of the Mappin family. Heavily embroidered yoke with a V of Ayrshire white work, with small cap sleeves, open down centre back placket, which closes at neck and waist with drawstrings. Long skirt embroidered with Ayrshire white work with two vertical flounces on either side.
