About this object

1. Navy blue crepe silk, beaded dress, sleeveless sheath 'flapper' dress, with drop waisted box pleated skirt, one centre front and back, and at sides. Coloured beads in geometric floral patterns, in pinks, light blue, green, black. 2. Plain black silk full length petticoat with shoulder straps, would not have been used with no.1 as it is too long. These items belonged to Olive Cullen, donor's mother-in-law who was from England, and where this dress has come from.
