About this objectA trompe-l'oeil tableau composition with chiaroscuro tones. The foreground comprises a table arrangement including broken decorated ceramic pieces, a bird skull, a snail and a broken spotted egg. The mid-ground comprises a flat 'wall' view of street graffiti and the background is an aerial view of a street plaque with a rose overlaid, a snail and bullet holes. There is a spool-shaped music box with an 'Old World' map engraved on the facing surface. This object is leaning against the the two 'planes' of the image.
