About this objectA satirical surrealist illustration featuring a caricature of a local government politician (with a turkey-like neck), accompanied by a hen/rooster, studying a decorative bird cage containing a native bush-like environment, which is placed on a table inside a room. It is a commentary on the bureaucracy of national conservation parks as seen from the perspective of an activist (the artist) involved with the conservation movement.
