Subject and Association Description

The Woollastons decided to build a new home and studio in 1971, designed by the architect Ming Ching Fan. Their new home was not complete until early 1973 and the build impacted on the amount of time Woollaston was able to set aside for painting.

However, his reputation was continuing to rise and in 1972 Luit Bieringa began preparations for an exhibition of his work at the Manawatu Art Gallery.
