Subject and Association Description

This watercolour is one of several watercolour studies from the Takaka Hill looking in different directions that form part of the Woollaston 101 collection at the Suter Art Gallery.

The Woollaston's decided to build a new home and studio in 1971, designed by the architect Ming Ching Fan. Their new home was not complete until early 1973 and the build impacted on the amount of time Woollaston was able to set aside for painting.
