Subject and Association Description

This painting is from Frasers Beach on the shores of Lake Manapouri and looks across the lake towards the Cathedral Peaks in the distance.

John Sidney Gully (1984) suggests that this 1887 painting is likely to have been done after John Gully's sketching trip with J. C. Richmond.
