Subject and Association Description

St Peter's by the Strand was built in 1873 but construction halted due to lack of funds. A fundraising bazaar was held, allowing the church to be completed and it was consecrated by Bishop Suter in 1884. The Church building has been renamed Old St Peter's and was moved to its current home at Founders Heritage Park in 1981.
