About this object

Copper nail used to fix copper sheeting on the ship Endeavour which was wrecked in Dusky Sound in 1875.
This was the first shipwreck recorded in NZ. The Endeavour was a sealing supply vessel captained by Capt, William Bampton, sailing from Sydney.
