On the back: "Home of the Rev Noble Dale Boyes upon his retirement approx 1925-26. He bought the property from Mrs Marion Hirst, his future daughter in law's sister. The daughter in law being Mrs Hazle Boyes, Ernest Wilfred's wife. Rev Boyes originally owned the land from the house to Abercrombie St then down that street to the back of the house forming a large wedge shaped section."
