About this objectHowick Busy Bees and their teachers. Established in November 1917 mainly for Girls to make items for WW1 for those in War torn Europe. Run by the Presbyterian Church under the leadership of a "Queen "Bee" Even Jean Batten joined in 1920, she lived near to Uxbridge Church . The group was active again during and after World War II.
