Morris Commercial Cars, originally located at Soho, and latterly Adderley Park, Birmingham, was the commercial vehicle division of William Morris’s Nuffield Group. A well-known advertising slogan used during the 1930s was ‘British to the Backbone’. The CS series meant it had a 6 cylinder engine. They had a Morris Commercial CS series 2 Leader models had a relatively short life, production running from 1935 to 1937 when they were replaced by the CV series ‘Equiload’ types.
This was bought new by G. Watkins and Co, Carriers of Christchurch. It was then bought by Duncan Rutherford of Nelson in 1964.
