Telegram; dated 26 February 1943 advising Clara Quilter that husband Thomas had died (on 20 February 1943) while serving in North Africa during World War Two. This is one of two such telegrams Clara received. Movingly the telegraph was folded and kept with the Memorial Cross Clara received from the New Zealand Government after Thomas' death.
