About this object
Harvard aeroplane. Obtained from the NZ Government ex Woodbourne airforce base. It originally was in service at Taieri near Dunedin before being used for training ground crews for maintenance. The wings were removed and transported on a trailer. The fuselage was towed like a trailer from the South Island to New Plymouth behind a large vehicle. This method of transport unlikely to be allowed today.
