Display case; a large double-sided display case, numbered '44'.

This is one of the five double centre cases installed in the 1900 fit out of the school's mineralogical museum, which formally opened in 1901 as a teaching museum. These cases were purpose built of heart kauri to present the minerals to the student in the best possible light.
