Newly planted trees can just be seen, as well as the original Criterion Hotel, and the premises next door where Mr EB Rowlatt carried out a painting business. The small building on the left is John Moore’s undertaking business - today it is the Salvation Army building. Seddon Square and the band rotunda was officially opened in 1911. The carved meeting house was built in 1929.
