About this object
Blouse; a black lace, silk and cotton blouse with lace neck band, lined with net. The blouse is entirely hand-sewn. The chest is embellished with embroidered lace and silk with pintucks. The sleeves are made from cotton covered with embroidered machine made lace and fasten together with 3 pairs of hook and eyes. Fastenings are sewn into the front are two eyes for hooks and two eyes sewn onto the back. Dates to the late 19th century.
