About this object
An intriguing object used soley to create uniform creases in paper used for prescripton powders. First the powder folder was adjusted to the size of the prescription box, using the ratchet lever. Then a long pre-folded paper strip, already filled with the right dose of powder, was placed over the folder and the edges pressed down hard. The paper was folded up along those press lines, and placed - with all the other papers for that prescription- into the box or packet. Made by Mawson and Thomspon of London, manufacturers of apothecary equipment.
