New Zealand had one of its largest contingents travel to the 6th World Scout Jamboree in France, 1947, a party of over 200 who were away from May until December, due to post-war shipping services. All members of the party were issue with a canvas kitbag for their luggage on which was printed their name and a NZ contingent logo.
