Subject and Association Description
One of a group of bird specimens, huia, tui, kingfisher and morepork.
The specimens were deposited in 1978 with the Manawatu Museum and then sent to the National Museum for conservation. "The morepork is found in settled and forest districts throughout New Zealand. It feeds on insects mainly, also small animals such as lizards and mice". (Falla et al.)
