A selection of pieces of Te Aroha or Domain China.
Subject and Association Description
Te Aroha Souvenir China was made around the turn of the 20th century for the Government Tourist Board and came in many different designs, some coloured, some black and white, others with gold edgings. Series' of teapots, cups, vases and other items were produced to commemorate the opening of the various areas of the Domain, for example the Cadman Bathhouse or the Bowling Greens. They were made in several different countries, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany and England.
