About this object
A silver oval plated ashtray, with 4 indentions set into rim, for cigarettes. The tray has 2 side handles. Inscription; A1 Imperial E.P.N.S. In excellent condition.

This item belonged to donor's grandmother, Beatrice Fitness. She married George Fitness and they lived at Ruawai. They later moved to Parnell, Auckland, to run a boarding house.
