Subject and Association Description
Image of the first Nottingham Castle Hotel a year after it was built in 1877 by J.J. Woods. It was named after the place he came from in England. The other hotel in Morrinsville, The Jolly Cripple, lost it's licence to the Nottingham Castle Hotel. This Hotel was burnt down on the 20 June 1913. It was replace by a new Nottingham Castle Hotel which was opened in 1914, and that is the building that remains until the present day. (2008)
