About this object
Albino pheasant stuffed and mounted to a wooden board. This albino pheasant was found on a property in Te Hutewai. It was reared at Te Mata by Jack Millar as he had a licence rear birds for the Acclimatisation Association. It was hoped they could breed from the white pheasant but it died before this could happen.
