Shacklock stove., TC7598
Name/Title
Shacklock stove.
About this object
Cooking was done on wood-burning stoves. There was real skill in building the fire to obtain the correct temperature. There were no gauges to help, so the temperature was tested by touch or the way water (or spit!) sizzled on the top.
